What is Bodkin Bespoke about?

Quality Service

The personal touch. A quality service from when you make contact to when you receive your completed item.

All you need to do is call or email, and we will discuss your individual requirements. I can lead you through the process, suitable materials, fabric choices, prices and time frame.

I delight in sharing the creative process with my clients, whether it's creating something new or bringing beloved pieces of furniture and soft furnishings back to life.

Quality Materials

I only use materials that adhere to the UK's Furniture & Furnishings Fire & Safety Regulations, as published by FIRA, the Furniture Industry Research  Association.

Please bare in mind the cost of these materials are dependent on national and international pressures affecting supply and many have risen dramatically over the past few years.

Quality Fabric

I work with established fabric manufacturers at all times, to ensure quality results, and happy clients!.

Fulfilment of Order

We endeavour to deliver the clients items forming part of this contract on the agreed date. However, to deliver on time it is dependent on whether materials to complete the work are available at the time the work is to be undertaken. We will keep the client informed at all times of any supply issues of other factors such as illness or equipment failure, which can affect delivery times.

Amendment of work for Reupholstery

a) We will attempt to stay within the prices stated in our estimate although costs may be subject to rise if additional work is required.

b) Additional work, such as unforeseen issues in the underlying upholstery or framework once the furniture has been stripped, which may not be apparent when the estimate is provided will be advised to the client on discovery and a course of action agreed.

Amendments made by the client

a) Fabrics cannot be changed once the deposit has been paid and the fabric has been ordered. If the client is unhappy with the choice of fabric and want to change it, the cost will be incurred by the client.

b) Any amendments to the scope of work not detailed in the estimate will be discussed with the client and further charges may be applied where applicable .

Fabrics

a) We take full responsibility for fabrics supplied by Bodkin Bespoke prior to the upholstery process. Should there be any faults with the fabric such as flaws or shortage in length we will rectify the issue with the manufacturer directly. We will inform the client if this delays delivery dates.

b) At Bodkin Bespoke we work to a very high standard and endeavour to pattern match fabrics wherever possible. However, in some cases this may not always be possible so we will discuss this with the client and a course of action will be agreed upon.

c) Fabrics made from natural fibres may contain and show irregular characteristics which may be perceived as imperfections or flaws by the clients. Due to the print design of some pattern fabrics, it is not guaranteed the patterns will match perfectly where products meet. Whilst every attempt will be made by us to ensure that the Goods sold and installed match in every respect, any minor or immaterial variation, change in colour or pattern between any sample or description shown or given to you and the Goods delivered will not entitle you to reject the Goods nor to claim any compensation for this variation or change.
